Our wrestling program offers comprehensive training in folkstyle wrestling, freestyle, and Greco-Roman. We focus on building a strong foundation of fundamental techniques, including takedowns, positioning, and mat control. Participants develop discipline, physical fitness, and mental toughness through skill-based drills and live practice.
Our program emphasizes personal growth, sportsmanship, and fostering a positive team environment, helping athletes of all skill levels excel on and off the mat. With our international wrestling coaches, you will learn how to dominate on the mats with advanced techniques.
Our head coach, Adem Kaya, has wrestled on the Turkish national team for many years back in his home country, Turkiye. During his career with the Turkish national team, he won numerous international titles, including the Cadet World Championship, the University World Championship, a bronze medal at the World Cup, a silver medal at the Goodwill Games, and the 2000 Olympic Runner-up.
After moving to the USA in 2001 to pursue his graduate degree and coaching career, he successfully coached several Division I universities, including Lock Haven University, UNC Chapel Hill, and UNC Greensboro, NC, for many years. After completing his doctorate in Sport Science in 2017, he has been teaching Sport Management at a higher education institution for the last 8 years. Currently, he teaches in the Sports Management Department at Bowie State University, MD, and is highly involved in community youth development programs in Howard and Prince George's Counties.
